Limitations of Government Authority in Response to a Public Health Emergency

This is the fourth part of a series of free CLE’s offered by the Fourth District Bar to help Idaho lawyers address issues related to the pandemic.

Professor Stephen R. Miller, University of Idaho College of Law, reviews cases across the country challenging state and local governments’ coronavirus-related public health measures, such as stay-at-home orders and mask mandates.  The discussion covers legal theories advanced by litigants, as well as decisions rendered by courts thus far.
