Idaho State Police reported 8,629 arrests for allegations of crimes against property in 2015 involving larceny/theft, destruction of property, burglary, fraud, motor vehicle theft, robbery, arson, forgery and embezzlement. The Idaho Law Foundation invites you to join John C. DeFranco, Ellsworth, Kallas & DeFranco, PLLC, and Jeffrey S. White, Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, for an hour and a half presentation titled Handling Your First or Next Property Crimes Case. During their presentation, Mr. DeFranco and Mr. White will discuss the basics of handling a property crimes case from screening the file to the acquittal or sentencing phase. Topics will include but not be limited to Idaho statutes, the drafting of criminal charges, presentation of evidence, the valuation of lost properties, the uptick in credit card fraud rings and the rapport between the Court and attorneys.
