Idaho’s legislative district maps were renewed in the fall of 2021, based on the work of Idaho’s Citizen Commission for Reapportionment (“Commission”) and new 2020 Census data. The Government and Public Sector Lawyers section of the Idaho State Bar presents a CLE covering the legal framework and latest developments in redistricting. This includes constitutional, statutory, and administrative framework on the national and state level, with an inside look at the work at the Commission, Discussion on redistricting theories, legal challenges to redistricting and gerrymandering, and political strategies, and the future of redistricting in the age of data
